What is an airbrush tan?

How does airbrush spray tanning work?
Our non-toxic airbrush solution will enhance the natural amino acids on your skin’s surface. Results are immediate but will continue to develop over the next 8 hours.
How long does an airbrush tan take?
Your initial appointment includes a skin evaluation by your licensed Aesthetic Skin Consultant and will take 30 minutes. Subsequent appointments will take about 20 minutes.
How long does an airbrush spray tan last?
On average your tan will last 5-7 days. See our Tanning Tips section on how to best maintain your tan during this period. Look great year round with our affordable packages.
Is airbrush spray tanning safe?
Yes. Our active ingredient is DHA (dihydroxyacetone), an FDA-approved simple non-toxic sugar derived from plant sources. When applied to the skin, it penetrates only the top layer of skin, and does not absorb into the body or bloodstream.
Does an airbrush spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. Our airbrush tanning solution does not provide any SPF protection. To protect your skin and extend your spray tan, use an SPF that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide both offering a broad spectrum of protection from both the UVB and UVA ray.
Will an airbrush spray tan turn me orange?
No. We only use premium quality DHA in our airbrush tanning solution, coupled with expert application by our licensed Aesthetic Skin Consultants.
Will an airbrush spray tan ruin my sheets or clothing?
No. Our airbrush tanning solution is water-based and will dry quickly. If any happens to rubs off onto your clothing or sheets, simply wash a normal cycle.

Yes. Our sunless tanning solution and airbrush application works on all skin types, regardless of body hair.

Simply have your doctor email (info@ortanic.com) us a note that indicates their approval of your spray tan.
What do I/don’t I wear to an airbrush tanning session?
During your spray tan wear a snug swimsuit or underwear. Bottoms required, tops optional. After your spray tan wear dark, loose fitting clothing for the next 8 hours.
