tan custom. tan smart.
Before You Tan:
- Shower and lightly exfoliate 24 to 6 hours before tanning. This is very important, as it will remove all the dead skin off of your body,
which will in turn give you the longest-lasting tan possible. Do not injure the skin with rough
exfoliation.
- Skin should be clean and dry before being airbrushed. For optimal results, do not apply moisturizers, deodorants,
anti-perspirants, body oils, shaving creams or makeup before your tanning appointment as they can affect the result of your tan. We will treat any
dry areas prior to airbrushing you.
- Shave and/or remove body hair 24 to 8 hours before your airbrush tanning session. If you wait to shave until after your airbrush tan, you will
speed up the exfoliation process.
- Schedule your mani-cure and/or pedi-cure 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Style hair off of the face and neck. Use clips, rubber bands, scrunchy’s, etc..
- Remove jewelry before being airbrushed.
- Wear dark and loose clothing to your appointment. Also, wear loose shoes w/socks or flip-flops.
- If you choose to wear a swim suit, bring a dark, snug swimsuit or under garment to create “tan lines” [wool, lycra, nylon, spandex, silk might
stain.]
- We ask that you trust the advice of your Aesthetic Skin Consultant. Our staff will choose an airbrush recipe that will compliment your skin tone
and will leave you with a natural looking tan. We carry different variations of airbrush tanning solutions but keep in mind it may take a few
sessions to achieve the desired result.
After You Tan:
- Wear dark, loose fitting, cotton clothing for 8 hours, while your tan is developing.
- To give you the best tan possible, hold off on showering for 8 hours after your airbrush tanning session. During this "processing time" we highly recommend refraining from physical activities that may require your skin to become wet. This includes exercise, swimming, bathing, showering, sauna sessions, massages and other activities that require the use of liquids or cause your body to sweat. You are free to resume these activities after your tan has fully developed and you’ve had your first shower. Please plan accordingly.
- Do not wear tight shoes, bra straps or jog bras until your tan has developed and you have showered.
- Your first shower should be a light shower with warm water only, as you are simply just rinsing the excess airbrush solution off of the surface of your skin. Do not exfoliate during this shower.
- Gently pat dry with a towel, do not rub dry.
- Wash with a mild shower gel.
